Cornwall Voluntary Sector Forum has a contract with the Government Office South West to deliver a number of outputs, outcomes and milestones in relation to a project called the ‘Third Sector Programme Support and Paticipation’ also known as ‘Convergence Matters’. Inter-Link Cornwall promotes and explains the purpose and progress of the Convergence programme to Voluntary Organisations and Community Groups and signposts them to opportunities (e.g. such as training available to their group).
The Cornwall Compact is an agreement setting out how the public and voluntary sectors should work together. For voluntary organisations, it can: • Help improve your relationship with the public sector • Provide a mediation procedure in the event of disputes. • Help create better outcomes for the people you support • Make your funding arrangements clear and fair • Save you money and time The Cornwall Compact works by setting out key principles for collaboration between the public and voluntary sectors. By signing up to the Compact, organisations agree to abide by a set of key undertakings. If you are interested in how the Cornwall Compact can work for your organisation, you can read a ‘busy persons’ guide to the Cornwall Compact here.
