Trainee Community Organiser Vacancy

Do you feel passionately about local issues and enjoy working with people?

DCH Group are recruiting 4 Trainee Community Organisers who will be employed by Locality and work on the national Community Organiser Programme.

1x Based in Penzance, 1x Based in Truro, 1x Based in Plymouth, 1x Based in North Devon

Employer: Locality and seconded to DCH Group (host)

Salary: £8.80 per hour (subject to tax and national insurance)

Duration and Hours: 51 weeks full time - 30-35 hours

Work base: The DCH Group offices in Penzance, Truro and Plymouth.

Purpose:

To learn to build trusting relationships and powerful networks which enable residents, groups, associations, and businesses in Penzance, Truro, Plymouth and North Devon to develop their collective power to act together for the common good, using the core tools and techniques of community organising.

West Cornwall Mind is recruiting two Outreach Project Workers

15 Hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)

£13,650 per annum (pro rata £5,850)

West Cornwall Mind is recruiting two Outreach Project Workers to support the Team Leaders in the delivery of community based social support groups and community activities. They are looking for two people who can develop effective working relationships, who can identify common ground and mutual interests with diverse groups and individuals, are sensitive to the needs of others and diplomatic in difficult situations.

Your personality, skills and knowledge is more important than academic qualifications and experience of working in a mental health organisation. A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
