Youth Worker vacancies - 2 x 15 hour posts

Salary From £9.00 - £11.00 p/h (depending on qualifications) Covering work in West Penwith ( Locality 1) until March 2015

PCDT is looking for 2 enthusiastic and motivated sessional Youth Workers to deliver a contracted programme aimed at addressing needs of children and young people (11+)

We are looking for individuals with a min NVQ2/ Level 2 with experience in youth work. You will need to be flexible, able to cope with a diverse workload, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and a knowledge of basic consultation and evaluation techniques.

A full driving license & own transport is required.

The Cornwall Dyslexia Association has an Office Administrator vacancy

Hours: 11.5 hours, Salary: £15,000 pro rata, Location: Truro

The post of Office Administrator is a fixed term appointment for 3 years. The successful applicant will be based at their new Dyslexia Advice Centre in Truro. This post has been created as a result of a successful Reaching Communities, Big Lottery bid for the Dyslexia Awareness, Information and Support Initiative (DAISI).

DAISI provides advice and guidance and identification of dyslexia through screening and/or assessment for adults and young people. The service is delivered at the Dyslexia Advice Centre in Truro and through outreach at partners' venues in the East and West of the county. In addition, the initiative aims to raise awareness of dyslexia amongst the general public, businesses and organisations through community awareness events and dyslexia awareness training sessions.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent communication, administrative and IT skills to join a small team setting up and developing this new project.

Key tasks for the post holder will include:

Providing secretarial and administrative support as required by the Project Manager, Co-ordinator and Outreach Workers and as required by the CDA Management and Trustees.

Assisting with management of administrative systems for the CDA and the Dyslexia Awareness, Information and Support Initiative.

Maintaining and updating the current client database.

Occasionally take and transcribe minutes of meetings

Assisting with data collection and recording for Project evaluation and monitoring

Answering the telephone and greeting callers when other members of staff are not available.
